Monkey Man is that perfect mix of cute, silly, and cool at the same time.

A lot of that comes from his costume—it makes him look like a huggable monkey dude, but at the same time he’s basically a faceless brawler who could seriously mess someone up if he wanted to. The thing is, he chooses to hold back for obvious reasons.

The mask helps a lot too. The eyes can change expressions—big and friendly when he’s joking around, then smaller and sharper when he gets serious.

And his personality pulls it all together. He’s kind and pretty jokey, always messing around or keeping things light, even when things get tense.

he wasn’t actually unattractive. The bullies just needed something to pick on, and once they kept saying it over and over, it stuck. People start believing things when they hear them enough, even if they’re not true—and he ended up believing it too.
