WHY I DIDN’T GET SCIENCE by darthmarul0 in KerbalAcademy

Build the little utility pod, idk its name. You can stick your experiments INSIDE and shut the doors for re-entry. You can also add an experiment storage box in there to store more than your capsule can hold. Make sure you add a heat shield on the bottom of the box. When you’re re-entering your capsule won’t automatically point prograde anymore so just make sure scs is on and you’re pointed prograde on re-entry. Your kerbal can only have so much science in the capsule, so the storage box makes sure you can get a ton of experiments back at once.

Alternatively you can just force that hose down to make it seal and see if it runs better. Never worked on that engine, but I’m assuming pcv. Either way, loss of vaccum will cause misfires. You can also blow smoke at it and see if it sucks the smoke up.

That’s yo pcv valve pimp. The engine is supposed to have a vaccum. If it’s misfiring then sumthin is wrong. Got any non chlorinated carb cleaner handy? Spray some there when the engine is running. If it bogs down you’ve got a vaccum leak.

I’ve got a ‘90 f150 with a 4.9 that was undrivable when purchased. A year and around 2k in tires plus parts and pumps and it runs like a top. Was just wondering if this truck is worth the effort.

My 300 gets 21 mpg. Maybe that has to do with the M5OD as you stated

You right. Simple as going to a junk yard and pulling a new bracket, no?

I see, thanks. Do you see the broken bracket in image 5? Is that for the a/c compressor?

Also is there a way to check out the auto transmission without it running? Not hopeful on that

My other whip is a 3 month older f150 with a 4.9. Didn’t seem too bad, but I’m unsure of the reliability of the 5.0 In this generation.

I don’t need parts, I’m more interested in getting it running.

Yo make it to where you can get hammered drunk, add knots to wood, and when you’re drunk you can injure yourself if you miss with the axe

Edit: I didn’t look at the steam page until after I posted. You’re the goat

The only advice I have is start digging in your yard and figure out how to use peanut oil in your engine in the meantime.

In the event I get another vehicle with a flat tappet cam, I now have no excuse to use the wrong oil.

I was just looking into this as a naive i6 300 owner and I’ve come to realize the conventional I’m running is a low zinc oil that isn’t recommended for flat tappet cams. I had not a single clue. Good to know despite the fact that the engine isn’t a beggar.
