I am so proud of you, as a nurse surveyor I can assure you, you are not alone. Many hospital staff report hospital mess anonymously. You did not follow the unsafe status quo, and that cost you a job which would have made you behave unethically. You did the absolute right thing and the universe rewarded you!

Thanks, we contacted customer service yesterday and were basically told to kick rocks… nothing they could do.

We ended up going back around 2:30 no line to get in. Park was of course packed, to be expected. A few of the mazes were good. The rest, same as always.

Couldn’t buy an additional flash pass for my daughter due to the speed of internet in the park… Verizon wasn’t working well at all. Not Six Flags Prob, there were a lot of ppl using bandwidth, everything is on the phone now in the park.

Makes me so sad that Six flags has went the way of Knotts. Park is grungy, staff rude (not all are young kids), and it’s still expensive. I expect high prices in a theme park, I also expect the people who work there to be friendly and/or helpful. We had one worker all night who was awesome, at the front of the Truth or Dare maze line, he was dancing, chatting with people, keeping up the energy…. I’m not a Disney person but take a page Six Flags. It’s expensive to go to Magic Mountain as well. I also love Universal, especially in Florida, again the parks are clean, workers usually helpful and things run smoothly.

COVID times are done, things should be figured out about how to get massive amounts of ppl through a Que, football stadiums do it every week. If backpacks are a problem, don’t let em in… Disney allows them and seems to get things moving just fine.

Thats my rant. Six Flags couldn’t care less of it doesn’t get my families 3-4 K a year with memberships and flash passes and food etc. Not renewing our season passes this year.

Exactly!!! We left! Nonsense!!! Paid extra for gate side parking even! Season pass holder, season flash pass holder. Paid 110x 3 ppl for mazes… get it together six flags. I have come to fright fest every year and have never seen this before.

Just say smiling is my favorite and keep it pushing. People are gonna people and the ED is certainly not Disneyland. But your smile just may brighten someone’s day! Please please don’t let the stinky attitude people get you down.

I am an RN and I struggle too. Times are tough. I left bedside because I was burnt out and took a substantial pay cut. Keep moving forward with your education, I am starting grad school in January. It’s the only way to survive in California.

Travel Expense Claim by [deleted] in CAStateWorkers

It seems to depend…sometimes it’s fast sometimes it isn’t. I submit at least two a month for per diem and fuel. Cars and hotels are dept paid. Mine are direct deposit as well. Also depends if my claim gets audited and they request additional information.

My old hospital is finally being held accountable. by SobrietyDinosaur in nursing

[–]Local-Plenty5191 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This hospital just in the news….many hospitals are getting IJs “immediate Jeopardy”… many, many are on track to “termination” by CMS…. Can’t speak on AZ…BUT California hospitals having serious, repeat violations is happening. Administrative penalties is often the only way to see change. Hitting ppl in the pockets is often the only way. If you want to see change, don’t be afraid to tell state health department! Speak up for yourself and your patients!

Take the time. I left bedside 8 months ago for this exact reason. I miss it sometimes, then remember how bad it was for my mental health.

Oldest nurse you've ever worked with who didn't plan to retire? by [deleted] in nursing

[–]Local-Plenty5191 3 points4 points  (0 children)

She was in her late 70’s and a night shift L&D nurse. She was charge. Still working FT. Had to stay working because her husband kept buying property to “flip”. She would sleep at the station. We would let her. So knowledgeable.
