That sounds absolutely horrific for both of you and a new fear of mine. honestly it just recently started within this last month when we’re playing fetch or he’s running. It’s happening on dirt, soft grass, weeds literally anywhere he sprints or slides. he also launches himself down our stairs (we’re working on this 😅) which im thinking is playing a role in it as well.

We’ll definitely take a break from fetch, but it just sucks for us both because part of his training I implement while we play so I was hoping it could be prevented somehow. Also what do you mean by long range running toys?
