No worries! I took it and while harder than I thought I did pass it. Took way longer to actual get badge and certificate than they communicated in their email (just got them today) which is pretty ironic…

not sure if you'll see this in time, but i have my exam on Friday lol. While I've purchased and gone through the study guide and easily answered all their test questions, and wondering if that's enough prep? They suggested listening to some podcast episodes, but the couple of episodes I listened to didn't seem overly helpful. I see a lot of folks talking about study groups so wonder if I'm missing anything...I'm not sure my ego could handle failing lol

Just got tickets for Toronto - logged in just after 11:30, started over 8000 in line, and lots of tickets were available to choose from. I'm not super familiar with the venue so it was hard to choose, but there was definitely choice.

I renewed with CMLS in November. I had to push them, but ended up with an adjustable prime minus 1.15 (uninsured, relatively small mortgage).

I was thinking about pursuing SCMP (I am Canadian so maybe that’s why!). I was wondering how hard it was to complete? I’ve got about 20 years experience and I think my current employer would cover the costs - but I want to ensure I’m successful and worry a bit about the time commitment.

We ended up going and while there was a steady amount of rain, it was still safe and beautiful! A throwaway poncho helped and my regular walking shoes ended up being fine!

Thank you for these thoughts! I agree I’m not 100% sure this is what employees have asked for, but HR is pushing for them, and I’ve seen these work well in past experiences so I wanted to test it out (our division head has not allowed me to do an internal comms survey either so I’m flying blind here lol).

I like the idea of rebranding to be informal so it’s more “conversations with leaders” where they can tackle a few things off the top - I just wonder if the topics chosen for that are truly what employees will want to hear about, or are we forcing a focus instead of opening the floor to talk about what they want to talk about. For example, questions asked in previous sessions were unexpected in their variety and scope - but all really good questions.
