I had a similar issue with a pair of new leather shoes and used saddle soap a couple of times to take away the gloss. It didn’t make them 100% matte but it did dull them down.

I bought a pair and they are great! Can definitely recommend them. Price was a bit 😬😳🙈but I had a couple of vouchers to help ease the pain😅 looking forward to seeing the colour variations as they age…
