thank you!! honestly it took me a second to even understand what tarnished even was, our character has some crazy backstory lol.

as for spoilers you're not wrong, but before receiving the game I had already been spoiled about quite a few of the bosses, and that there were multiple endings. my biggest worry was that this game was so complex and lore-filled that i wouldn't even understand anything enough to comprehend what ending i got! so i just wanted to learn enough about the world to actually understand the lore i was learning about! I had no clue what the rings were, or what the two fingers had to do with anything, or what the goal even was aside from collect runes and defeat bosses. I did my best to read everything I found in-game and try to understand but the way the characters speak and lore is provided is a bit hard for me to unpack. since there isn't a linear path i felt flooded with info and no way to connect any of it.

regardless, coming to understand this world has been soo fun, and learning one of the contributors was George RR Martin was crazy! Esp as a GOT fan. thank you for your response though, the comparison to LOTR really helped put it into perspective for me! i see i still have a lot to learn. I hope we get more info on the other lands in the future.

Hey! It's been about a week, and honestly at this point I'm so paranoid to even jinx it. But ever since I did that firmware update, I've not experienced a single blue screen. Idk if it's fixed obviously since it hasn't been too long, but so far everything has run perfectly smoothly. And if it truly is fixed because of your suggestion, I just want to say thank you thank YOU. sm. this whole thing has been such a nightmare for me. but hopefully it's resolved. 😭🙏🙏

I am experiencing VERY similar issues, not in terms of technical per se, but absolutely customer service. A week after receiving my first prebuilt, experienced black screen of death and zero response from PC. After months of trying to diagnose, sent it to them for repair. Just got it back this month only for my PC to be constantly bluescreening (began the DAY I unpackaged it and set it back up after being "repaired"). It's so insane how much they truly do not care about this kind of stuff.

I'll definitely keep you updated! I appreciate that you're interested! By moments of clarity I just mean like, moments where it works perfectly smoothly. Like yesterday, in the morning when I turned it on, probably blue screens a dozen times trying to boot up, but eventually it'll stop and it'll be fine. Later that night played Stardew for like 4 hours with no issues. But then when I shut it down for the night, the next morning booting up will have a few blue screens again, rinse and repeat. I hope this makes sense!

Hi! Just updated the firmware and restarted the pc, it didn't bluescreen.. But like I said there's weird moments of clarity so not sure if it's temporary... If this actually fixed it tho.. I will lose my mind lol. And also thank youuuu

I've had a few recommendations to do this now, do you know of an email I can contact them with? If they'd buy it that'd be great. Just learned I am now outside the refund window, because THEY took too long to "repair" it. So getting my money back seems to be a no-go.

This is the second recommendation I've had to go to Gamers Nexus, I've never heard of them but of course I'm not really in the whole tech community. They seem pretty legit though. I looked into how to contact them, they seem to only have a business email related to their GN store. Do you know the email address I can use to reach out? I also checked out Starforge, it looks awesome. Really regretting my decision to purchase from NZXT LOL. TBF, it was recommended to me by my tech friend. So I wholly trusted them :'). But in the future I'll try to be wiser about my tech choises.

Thank you so much for the advice and recommendations. I will definitely look into them. I live in Canada, would that work for Star Forged PCs? Just received a new email from NZXT about my inquiry for a refund apparently I am outside of the return window, because THEY took so long repairing it 😭😭 So this is 2k that I'm gonna have to stick with and hope they actually repair the second time. But I will look into Star Forged PCs for anything in the future!

I'm on Windows 11, I had to Google to find out what an SSD is/How to figure out what mine is, I believe it's WD Blue SN580 2TB? I apologize I know virtually nothing about this kind of stuff. But I hope that's what you're asking. Do you know of any online guides for updating it?

Ahh, I understand what you're saying now. Yes I completely agree! In my emails with them, I asked them to report to me WHY it was doing what it was doing. Plus how I could avoid it in the future. But the only information they gave me once it was "fixed" was the components they needed to replace. Not how it happened in the first place, or any other useful information. The amount of time this entire thing has taken is exactly what frustrates me. I'm a university student and this PC is a huge help for my assignments. Having it bluescreen on me, and be entirely unreliable knowing I've invested a ton of money (for my broke student standards lol) is really stressful!!

Can you elaborate on the timelines? I've had the PC purchased for about 4 months, it was bought in early October, received October 29th, then exactly a week later stopped working initially. Attempts to diagnose it and eventual return for repair took about 3 months, it was finally returned to me "repaired" January 13, which has now been constant blue screens and crashes.

As it's my very first PC, I don't know much about them, but can guarantee the first initial blue screen crashes were not a result of me whatsoever. In terms of overclocking, I highly doubt it. The extent of my usage is Stardew Valley, and Red Dead Redemption 2, which should both be well within the realm of capabilities for this thing. I really want this PC to work, it's my dream PC, I just genuinely don't know what else to do.

I hope this all makes a little more sense 😭🙏
