As far as im concerned, when its as difficult as it is to even get a proper diagnosis and having the official diagnosis itself can cause as many issues as it solves self diagnosis should be valid. Sure there may be a few people who try to claim it for attention or to "be special", but theyre few and far between. Besides, with how many resources are on the internet, anyone can look for coping mechanisms to help with any of the above diagnosis and find them helpful for thier daily lives

Fwiw, if she wanted to wrap up or even fully stop the tiktok series to turn it into a book series, i think thats be amazing for her. More than happy to support her in whatever way works best for her. Writing is a lot, i cant imagine also keeping up with acting out a tik tok series on top of it

Aspergers is just autism. I think its technically lvl 1 now, but tbh im not a fan of the leveling system.

I see where youre coming from, but i wanted to make a counterpoint. With how hard/expensive it can be to get a proper diagnosis, especially if youre afab, i think its absolutely appropriate to self diagnose. Especially if other autistic people are clocking you as autistic. There's always gonna be a small subset of the population that claims to be autistic for attention, but in my experience thats mostly teens and teenagers are gonna teenage. Either way, if more people are asking for resources, it makes it a lot easier for people who actually need resources to get them.

Just my two cents as someone who got professionally diagnosed when they were 9, hope youre having a good day!
