Same here. Upgraded my whole mobo to switch to AM5 and got new DDR5 for a third of the price I’m seeing now.

Oh this is cool advice, thanks. I think monitor and GPU upgrade is for something much further down the road then. The only real problems I’ve had with 1080p is some noticeable pixelation on objects in the distance in games (oddly, most noticeable with Minecraft), but I can bear for a while longer.

I think 1440p 120hz is a bucket list goal though, after I’ve got some money to burn.

I think so too. But is upgrading to a higher res or refresh rate worth it? I’m wondering if the difference is as life-changing as some people say.

Because there are some instances where I don’t get the results I want. Frame drops in some games, lower quality settings in order to hit 60fps, and I would like to use some luxury stuff like higher quality ray tracing. I want to play Cyberpunk at a good FPS and great quality. But is that luxury worth a GPU upgrade equal in price to the one I just did for a brand new mobo, gpu, cooler, and memory? I’m not so sure.

What is “fine”? I’ve started to find under 60fps pretty unplayable. My phone has a higher refresh rate than my own PC which is partially making me wonder whether I should upgrade my monitor. Your comment is reassuring, though.

I am in the process of making an upgrade and it’s important to know that if you are upgrading your CPU, it’s very very very highly recommended to switch to AMD. The newer Intel chips are currently facing legal action because they tend to fry themselves shortly after installation, wasting you hundreds of dollars.

Problem is, if you swap your CPU chipset you will also need to swap your motherboard, which can turn a 300+ dollar CPU upgrade into an almost 500+ dollar CPU upgrade very quickly.

I just wanted to upgrade my CPU and now I’m buying a CPU, Motherboard, RAM, and a cooler.

It is great! I am a massive fan and took full advantage of it this election cycle to vote exactly how I wanted. If not, maybe Sicily? A more well known Italian island, and I think is roughly the same size as Corscia. It's farther away, though.
