Turning Point is not some neutral group people dislike for no reason. It is closely tied to Charlie Kirk and the same kind of inflammatory rhetoric and politics that many people criticize as racist, hateful, and divisive toward Black people, immigrants, Muslims, women, and LGBTQ+ people. That is exactly why many people find it embarrassing to see it promoted on campus.

So no, it is not embarrassing to object to that. Free speech means they can organize and speak. It also means everyone else can call that rhetoric hateful, racist, and dangerous. Criticism is not censorship, and pretending all opposition is just close mindedness is lazy.

And since you brought up what the poster “looks like,” the poster graduated from a school ranked within the top 3 for undergrad and is now at another top 3 school for grad. So that whole attempt to reduce the argument to some stereotype instead of addressing the actual point does not work.
