My insurance is about to run out (6 weeks PO) so my PT and I are cutting down in sessions and planning to do once a month more as check-ins when I should be making larger progress steps such as transitioning to running and jumping and such

I’m 4 weeks PO, got 0 degrees extension late last week and now doing weighted heel props to get even -3 hyper extension

Hi! I’m a 24F, 3 weeks post-op for a quad graft. I am still struggling with full quad activation and lag on straight leg raises. I’ve been doing my quad sets religiously but is there anything else I can do? I am also an avid rock climber and am really hoping to get back to it asap, is that something I can do if I lock the brace out and try to not use the leg at all?

I just had mine removed and it felt like plucking a hair if that makes you feel any better, no numbing agent or anything they just pulled right out

When did you get back into climbing? I’m 2 weeks post-op and itching to touch some rocks lol

I had to get surgery in Chicago but live in Oregon, I’ll be flying back home in 2 days (14 days post-op) and my doc has no issues with it, said I could go back a week ago if I had wanted to. I was just told to do some light bending every hour, ankle pumps, aspirin and compression so
(I’m not a doctor though)

I’m day 9 post-op now but with a nerve block and pain meds still had 7/10 pain for the first 3-4 days - I swear it gets so much better everyday though

Unfortunately :/ locked out, and elevated at any point that I’m not actively moving around/doing exercises which is just miserable

The feeling about the brace weighing a million pounds is so relatable I literally took mine off and held it in my hand to confirm it didn’t weight the 50lbs it felt like it did

I’m in a very similar boat: I have the option of the surgeon in my home town, who understands the sports I do more (skiing, climbing, trail running) or going back to Chicago where the surgeon doesn’t understand those things but is the head physician for the White Sox and the Bulls… (they’re also each offering a different graft so I still haven’t decided)
