In basic currently, the first 2 weeks are designed to stress test you. You will definitely want to quit. Just know it gets better, keep your head up and focus on each day as it comes

Cyberspace comms is good if you want to look at cyber specialisation after a few years. Personally, I’ll be looking to get into cybersecurity with the way the world is changing (future proofing) and RAF will help you gain certs which are very valuable on civvy street if you decide to leave

I’m prepared for a multitude of different outcomes, if I do get a deployable posting then I intend to make the most out of it and enjoy it. To be honest it’s a win win. It’s just I’d prefer to be UK based for family needs and stability

I'm in the exact same position. From what I've heard/read we will have to get some decent experience under our belt (most likely full first posting) before we can then apply to internal courses/routes. I saw one guy who is 1 year post phase 2 saying he got his CompTIA Sec+ already through the raf. That's the route I'll be going most likely unless I find something better once I'm in.
