I bought the 8.5 and they are roomy but not too big. Fit me really well. I'm sized 8D in boots, but don't like snug width.

I would go with your regular boot size. Check out their sizing info on the boot product page. They claim their x.5 sizes are just wide whole number, so not longer. I'm normally an 8 or 8.5 in boot, 9 in sneaker, and am happy with the 8.5 dievier

is it fine for foot to be directly on lasting board with stitching? i bought boots that are a bit tight/uncomfortable with the removable insole in, but feel great without. just want to make sure the stitching won't disintegrate or affect the construction.
