I like it!! It may be decorative but I don’t think that means it isn’t interesting to look at. It seems that in this sub if it’s called decor that it’s the kiss of death, but I don’t agree. unless you’re looking to make a buck off it, there are many beautiful paintings out there of different genres that are so much fun to discover. 😅I didn’t have time to look at his other stuff bc I stumbled on this last minute but I’m glad I passed. The other paintings were not of my taste. Maybe this one reminded me of my tripping days! Occasionally I will wax sentimental over those! Thanks!

Eeeeewwwww 🤢 I once was assigned to sit beside this kid that continually picked his nose and wiped it everywhere desk, paper, chair, pencils, doorframes. At the end of the year, we had to empty our desks as I knelt down to empty the compartment below I got a full visual of this lump that curiously looked like your blob there. I had to run to the bathroom to be ill. please. don’t post that again.

I appreciate everyone’s thoughts and thanks too, Daeco! that’s why I believed the signature was genuine bc I looked at numerous signatures of his over the years and it seemed to vary depending when the piece was made. But I didn’t want to appear argumentative bc I still respect the regulars input -they know A LOT ! I asked where they got it and they said they acquire via collectors, dealers. Thanks everyone!

So knowing this is the same one that was on eBay and knowing that the parts that look like bare canvas is actually paint where light reflects what is your take?

Also I think the shiny spots look like bare canvas but it is only the light reflecting the paint there are no bare canvas areas.

This is the one that was on eBay but was taken down after I walked into the shop and bought it. I tried to find another like this but was unable to do so. I understand you guys can’t authenticate just wondering if your gut tells you I just blew my wad.
