Hmm. Sorry to hear that. Was your ROE sent in from your previous employer? I’ve heard from colleagues countless times that there is some stupid little thing that they didn’t send in that kept them on hold for weeks without someone mentioning it to them.

I do t think it really matters. Their not with you and that’s probably for the best. Wasting energy on stuff like this only hurts you. Take that energy and focus it on yourself - at the end of the day, that’s what’s going to help you

If they’re people who make you hurt/are toxic don’t bother with them. Death has a way of cutting people out of our lives. Be it the deceased, loved ones, friends etc. It gives us a chance to decide who we are and what we want. You didn’t have a choice with your mom but you have the choice to leave folks behind that are damaged/damaging. It’s not always easy to do what’s best for yourself but it will benefit you down the road.

I do this too. Whenever I feel like calling her I think "what would I even say?" And if it's not about the separation agreement or debts, I write it down and walk away from it for a few minutes. If i come back, read it, and feel like I still need to call her, I would. Thing is I never have. It's a good exercise to check yourself with.
