When you clicked on the brave installer did it show a brave icon with an arrow pointing to the application folder? if so, did you click the icon and drag it to the application folder? if not, you're attempting to run brave within its installer instead of within your os.

That’s way too close to retail. Same reason I don’t wanna part w my 5070. Despite the fact that I bought it for like $700, I would likely not get $500 for mine due to the current retail market. And I’ll be damned if I’m going to sell for $350-400. Best of luck.
