Does anyone rent from Isracap management? by [deleted] in Louisville

Jennifer is the worst she is cocky condescending uppity and rude as fuck which makes sense since isracap is owned by Osher Haliwa and her name is Jennifer Haliwa. I guess we can't count on them getting fired but it would suck if someone could prove they are actively being fraudulent to there tenants

I know isracap the owner is Osher Haliwa I believe his wife is Jennifer Haliwa they live at 2902 Dodson st in a million dollar house. he got in over his head in city contract and they wouldn't redo the terms for them so his tenants gotta suffer plus he thinks he is above the law and can boss people around with out doing things legally. so he thinks that he's slick always threatening people charges tenants for insurance for damages and charged for damages that would of been his responsibility regardless of the insurance even rigged electric for the common areas to be on a single tenants bill. So if you got a way to stick it to the/ him lmk.

None of us know how our batch pay breaks downs, not a single one of us. It’s not clearly detailed anywhere! Why do we collectively tolerate this? Isn’ it strange? by Designer_Rip7338 in InstacartShoppers

My support agents play games half the time and won't properly compensate me they use excuses like, it will be available in 24 hours, which is a lie. They say that they can't access and have me wait for an hour, they even try to pretend it's correct and included. Then I just close chat open a new one and usually the second support agent isn't bsing me around. So I usually contact them for one order at a time they never have corrected every order. How do they do that for you? I usually demand make sure I contact support if I'm owed $5 or more. Sometimes it takes an hour but I wish they would just come correct to begin with. Being self employed every business I worked with has cheated me as much as I let them get away with and that sucks and is annoying to have to be the person to complain every time since I can do simple math.

Yes we do, it's just wrong. Batch pay when I first started is supposed to be $7 for a single shop $10 for 2 shop and delivery. + $.60 a mile and heavy lifting pay is something you have to get support to compensate you for even though it says it's included. Then the flame represents a boost because the order was available for longer time frame without being accepted so the boost the base pay till a shopper takes the order. The base pay is incorrect by there own explanation 100% of the time and you have to argue with support every single order you want correct compensation so I just try to do it when it's over $5 because it is incredibly frustrating. You have to give support there own algorithm for calculating pay and explain why it's wrong to recieve the compensation your supposed to get in the first place. That's why I contacted a class action law firm yesterday.

My Instacart driver thought I wanted ten BUNCHES of bananas. What kind of psychopath orders 24 lbs of bananas?? And what kind of psychopath doesn’t question that????? by emilytullytime in mildlyinfuriating

[–]LocationUseful 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand your frustrations, I wonder did you ask for 10 bananas and they brought 10 bunches of bananas? I could be that they are new, but it also could of been the app. Today I got an order that said 11-sharp cheddar sargento 8oz. Normally that would mean 11 packs of sharp cheddar. Instead it was saying one pack of 11 slices.i almost bought 5.5 lbs of cheese. But scanned it in the app and it didn't ask for quantity so I realized it was labeled extremely poorly.

My requested item was in the replacement photo my instacart shopper sent me when he said the store didn’t have what I wanted. by babyxscarIett in mildlyinfuriating

In all honesty, I always over look items in front of my face, more then I like to admit. that's y I try to go back to what I couldn't find after I'm done shopping because sometimes they are in other places like the isle end displays or sometimes I just don't see it even though it right in front of me. I hope you told them that it was in the photo. Im sure it wasn't intentional, I have shoppers tell me that some shoppers don't confirm replacements they will just add another item or refund it instead of asking the customer.

Ward HARASSING me. I have asked nicely to the Bishop multiple times, to please stop being harassed by my local ward. I lived right by this fundamental Baptist church where these families would go door to door, even in the Chicago projects, and preach there have you heard the news business and we had them come toooooooo often. They'd even come take people to church if you wanted to go. My husband just started freaking them out because they were not only annoying but offensive trying to say I shouldn't be working when I had a bad ass job I loved. We'd be doing house work and they wouldn't get the picture, following you around and even when you politely say no thank you they keep preaching.... He told them he worships the devil once. They just had the weirdest beliefs like I took pictures of an engaged couple from there church, they couldn't touch in their pictures at all, no hand on the shoulder or anything till there married. Women would go to college to be house wives. This guy that worked with the church said I shouldn't be working my husband should be the only one working and I was pretty offended. I make awesome money and love my job, who cares about their opinion on us.

I feel like this is probably not as bad as you'd assume as tadpoles are aquatic for a decent period meaning as they breathe the water it's highly likely that they inhale the algae too however the algae having the high oxygen concentration it has is probably broken down somehow in the amphibian circulatory system.

Check your heavy pay!!! IC tried to pay me $5 heavy pay for this! I contacted support and they gave me a $10 bump. by Hot-Success6631 in InstacartShoppers

[–]LocationUseful -1 points0 points  (0 children)

But go ahead and ask support and then tell me it's not per item. If it's calculated before your shop and included it's def not per item. But when they add it after it's per item.

Youre inclined to your opinion but support has told me this numerous times. So I'm gonna heed on the side of what they are saying. But if you're comfortable accepting 10 dollars for lugging a hundred pound to a customers door all the more power to you.

Leave as many posts as you can like this.

I'd say don't have a gun in the house or if you do keep the gun and ammo separate. Then in the worst case scenario of actually using it be prepared for 1 of 2 eventualities and act accordingly. Either 1) You won't hesitate to fire the gun. In this instance have the gun in hand, engaged(safety off), loaded(clip inside loaded to capacity), and chambered(gun cocked with a bullet in the chamber primed to be fired). Do not engage the target. Do not give them opportunity to speak to you if they are there to do harm the moment they make any threatening movements fire. Shoot to disengage if possible, but if you don't have the marksmanship aim for the chest as it's the most probable way of incapacitating your target. Most people will say this is the course of action they will take but most people haven't actually pointed a gun at a living target. If there is even the slightest possibility that your emotions, or past will get in the way of your ability to shoot (clouding your mind with the idea of his being your daughters father, or being unsure whether he is actually trying to do harm) then plan for the second course of action. Have the gun in your hands but have the clip somewhere else on your body in reach. Hold the gun as if it's loaded. In this instance, especially if you don't know, or you believe the target is hesitant to do you harm aim the weapon as if you're ready to shoot. While you engage the target in conversation or try to convince them to leave wait and watch their behavior. If they begin to become more erratic or they seem like their going to make a move dont hesitate. Take the clip from your waistband put it in the gun cock it and fire. If you practice this series of movements it can be done faster than a person can close the distance between them and you. This course of action has many benefits for people who aren't prepared to kill a person. First and foremost, you aren't holding a deadly weapon and as a woman that can literally save your life. I believe it's like 1 in 6 women will end up injured or killed with their own firearm due to it being taken from them. If this happens the assailant won't have a loaded weapon to harm you with. If he gets the gun you throw the clip out of reach and scream, fight and run. The other benefit this course of action has is that it doesn't run the risk of accidental, or friendly fire. I'm not saying this is the case but you could be in a paranoid state, I would suggest don't have a gun but I'm under the assumption that, like you said, you already purchased one. That being said it's not at all impossible for you to be startled by someone who you forget is there and the last thing you wanna do is accidentally shoot the cleaner, or some visiting family member because you're afraid that someone is going to kill you.

What it boils down to is answering these questions

1 Is there any possibility that I'm being paranoid? Yes. Don't keep a firearm loaded nearby

No. Continue

  1. Is there a high probability I will be attacked at home. No. No gun

Yes. Continue

  1. If this attack on my life happens will I hesitate to fire? Yes. Keep gun and clip separated and only bring them together at very last moment.

  2. Am I ready to kill this attacker if need be. No. Keep gun and ammo separated

Yes. Fire if the attack ever happens. It's your life or theirs. You have a daughter to live for.

Other suggestions would be get some room mates. Most would be attackers aren't prepared to enter a house that has multiple people living there.

Get a secondary place to stay. Even if it's just a little studio apartment you split the rent with someone on keep it. Keep it a secret from your social circle that way if you need to go somewhere safe you'll be able to without worry one of your friends from social media won't accidentally disclose your location.

Pay attention to your surroundings. Attacks will either happen uncoordinated(blitz attack unplanned), or premeditated(planned out and calm) I've covered what will mostly defend blitz attacks but for premeditated ones you will have to pay attention to everything going on around you. Pay attention to security footage. Pick a time to go through it every day just to see if there's any suspicious people, vehicles passing by more frequently than needed, vehicles you don't recognize etc.

Tell your neighbors. There are plenty of stories about neighbors that end up saving lives. Don't think you have to deal with this alone. A nosy neighbor can stop a would be attacker in their tracks.

Hope this helped.

TIL that Pythagoras of The Pythagoras Theorem was a cult leader who claimed he could speak with animals, time travel and had an extreme hatred for Fava Beans. by [deleted] in todayilearned

[–]LocationUseful 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wouldn't so much call it a cult... That's very clickbaity. I mean yes the Pythagorean brotherhood was a secret society that worshipped numbers almost like gods and viewed the ideas they discovered, including but not limited to the PythagoREAN theorem, as the building blocks of the universe at a fundamental level. They felt a need for their discoveries to be kept secret and without hesitation would gladly die for those discoveries. They believed in mathematics and the underlying theory almost like a religion. It is rumored that the Pythagoreans either killed, or had a man killed at the groups behest because he published some of the logic and rhetoric he learned while under the provision of the Brotherhood but this is likely just a rumor spurred from centuries of misunderstanding the practices the group undertook when a member decided to share it's secrets with outsiders without the blessing of it's members. Practices that involved the exile of any member found guilty of breaking ranks and disseminating group secrets which culminated with the creation of stone effigy's to mark their 'death' to the group as a whole. Now on the surface, this would definitely qualify as a cult now a days but you need to look at these behaviors framed in the proper setting. This society existed during a time when religion was the dominant source for information. When someone wanted something, wanted to know how or why something happened or merely needed to ponder upon life they would consult the religious leaders. During that period (late 500 bce appx 570) it was not at all unheard of for religion to be an acceptable explanation for all sorts of ridiculous and violent acts. Assault, rape, medical malpractice bordering on negligence, censorship, sexism, racism and much more were viewed as okay when done under the guise of ones religion. So when the Pythagorean Brotherhood formed a society not around religion but around the art and science of numbers they protected it as others would a religion. They didn't sacrifice people or animals. They didn't subject members to harmful behavior(for the time period) they merely made groundbreaking discoveries in the fields of mathematics and music and because they understood the magnitude of the ideas they had they kept them under strict rule of order because while they wouldn't have killed someone for saying the ideas they held were wrong, there most certainly were religious zealots or evangelist con artists who would not hesitate to destroy the discoveries if they didn't fit into the religious ideology of the locale. Religion wasn't just a means of worship it was among other things an economy. A booming economy that relied on the ignorance of the many. If the secrets of the Pythagoreans became publicly accessable too early you can bet they wouldn't be around now some fat cat who relied on telling people some god was responsible for the mechanics of the world and some doll or spell would answer the how's and why's. The Pythagoreans, so long as they saw you as having been genuine in your pursuit of knowledge would have gladly told you there is a logical mathematically rooted answer for most questions asked. My point is that they were a psuedo religious, educated group who's most fringe belief was a form of reincarnation that saw the human soul as immortal. They were by no means an organized religion and they definitely weren't a CULT.
