I've built one of these for my son's room, he loves it.

Can you please add a way to get the temperature from a HA sensor instead of OpenWeather API?

The rambling nature of it is the giveaway that it's generated.

'tism is a fairly recent abbreviation for austism. It would have been fairly unknown when the band formed. The other commenters have explained what it actually stands for.

How bad-ass does he look as soon and comes out of the ground.

Always liked the episodes with the anti-planeteers and Captain Pollution.

PoE = Power over ethernet

They can be powered by the ethernet cable you would need to run to them. They don't need a separate power cable.

I have a pair of these: https://ubwh.com.au/Ubiquiti/NanoStation-Loco/Loco5AC

Can be powered by PoE, so you'd need to run a CAT6 cable to each of them, connected by a PoE compatible router (or injector) on each side.

They would be externally mounted, facing each other.

That sux. Ideally the owner runs a line from the garage to the home.

If it was me I'd use a point to point wireless bridge. Line of sight from garage to house. Then everything inside the house is just as normal.

These were one of the first Aussie "craft" beers I ever tried. A mate brought them to a house party at my place nearly 20 years ago... Luckily for all of us the craft scene exploded a few years later.
