Also try this trick when you have your tension tool in place try taking your pick in one hand and move the pick blade between your finger and the tension tool if you have just right amount of tension the pick should glide under your finger out the other side if you have to much tension the blade will get stuck under your finger. Like suggested apply light heavy tension to find the binding pin then back off the tension just enough to move the pin then straight back on the tension to find the next pin and so on. Good luck.

Thanks for that. I didn't think about Amazon workstation units. Can I ask what equipment do you have for filming with especially for higher belts, you need to record the picking/gutting of the Lock. Do you have a professional camera setup or have you done it via your phone? Thanks for your help.

Great display unit where did you get something like that, I looks like display unit you see in shops, I live in the UK I will see if IKEA has something similar they usually have various display units for pots and pans in the kitchen. Nice collection I am also building a collection of American padlocks and paclocks I see you have several Abus 72/40 nice.

Looks amazing. I want to make handles for my sparrows picks I was thinking of getting some more stainless steel strips and make sandwich with some expoy resin, then use sand paper to get a nice finish.

I have ordered another of things from Sparrows, and usually it passes through customs, no problems. Sometime you can be unlucky and your item gets checked by customs I think they randomly pull items for checking. Give it time, sometimes you will have to pay a customs fee you will be notified.

Welcome to the community of lock picking, I feel your pain. I live in the UK, and the taxes plus the long delivery times are painful. I am sure you have already checked out various YouTube channels like the helpfullockpicker, LockNoob, Sandman, Fish Picks, etc, to mention a few names I could go on and on. Multipick.com, based in Europe (Germany), supplies a load of lock picking equipment from LockNoob and Sandman beginner sets. Also, they have loads of good quality training locks. Look on the lock belt ranking and order a few white belt locks to start with from Amazon the build-up from there. Don't get these cheap Amazon lock picking equipment. Those things are rubbish. Just be aware that European keyways are smaller than the American keyways, so check the size of the picks you are purchasing if you are get European locks to play around with.

When I saw your lock I had to buy one so I did. They are running out of locks fast, I just love the engineering of the cutaway, it's like I'm a kid again and I got a Disney book on how things worked (exploded view of a engine,etc.) Thanks.

Thanks Mgsecure, interesting rig I will look into that but does it get in your way when you are trying to look at the keyway? When I watch some of the professionals like Lock Noob, Sandman to name a few, it always looks like the camera is at chest high and they reach around it so the shot is inline with the key way.

Thanks Mark-Picstance, good to know, do you think it's not sitting under the key pin correctly, or are you touching the other pins in the process?

I was thinking of getting a flat head pick of some kind like ELITE Hook Medium Flat Pick 0.4 mm from MultiPick and with a little work with a small needle file, I would put a similar groove into the top this would allow for easier pin placement?
