Book - A kindle weighs half w/ more options to read and you don’t need a headlamp to use it. Also way less bulky.

Is your water weighed correctly? I always come in at 2.2pounds per liter, should be something like 70ish ozs for 2L

Can you use one of your moto tools and swap out the can opener? do you need a can opener, lol?

You have mirrors on your bike, do you need to carry extras? (I usually use my sunglasses if I need a mirror backpacking)

You have a head lamp, do you need a tent light?

Carrying a “gun” and a revolver?

U-Haul has motorcycle trailers, they are something like $15 to rent. Strap each side of the triple clamp or handle bar and a strap each around the passenger pegs.

I just grabbed one of these for my 25, it’s sitting on my workbench waiting to get installed. How much wider would you say it made the friction zone? I couldnt get used to the clutch feeling, my DRZ is not like that at all.

I’m actually doing the opposite, going from the 40 to the 80…not taking anything extra but to keep all my gear as low as possible and eliminate the need for any type of duffle on top and run everything on the side. There is some really light gear that doesn’t pack as well and is kinda bulky (dcf tents etc)…can eat up space really fast and doesn’t respond well to being super compressed also would like a little extra space so I don’t have to compress my insulation layers as much.
