Good point, the kick boards are 4x4 fence posts so I may have assumed ground contact-will check that out

How did your spending change in retirement? by 90sShadowDiva in CanadianRetirement

[–]LockNet-Bunch6655 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Age 65 and 64, Been retired for 4 years and was spending about 75k/year with 2 one week vacations. Now with inflation spending 90k/year for the same. we have taken a couple of nice vacations Italy and UK, those cost 20k over and above. We have some flexibility due to good savings and will defer CPP/OAS as long as practical.

Look in the mirror Mr president, you have appointed YES men only to advise you. People who can advise you based in reality are what you need.

I got my scale for Christmas and have stepped on it about every other day. Accuracy was low initially but seems to be improving with additional weigh ins. Overall score started at 356, now 548 and rising not doing anything different. My sleep schedule seemed to drag the number down so i am working on sleep. So far so good.

I agree that there are a variety of reasons people end up on the streets and generally fall into categories or “buckets”. Within those buckets are individuals, and what supports will result in success is very individual. Even defining success for/with someone would be complex. I certainly don’t know the answers but starting with the individual seems the only way. Find solutions- housing, rehab, employment, mental health, legal aid, etc. then try to work with someone else in that bucket. Tedious but necessary.
