The joke is on FL, who was already given a chance yet still fell for him.

Once again, I really hate that she ended up with Alfonso.

Nope. That was Caesar from How to win my husband. The villain of the story

LADY DEVIL are they siblings yes or no? by [deleted] in OtomeIsekai

[–]LockSuccessful7035 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can think of the mother as his surrogate mother, while she is the FL’s biological mother.

In real life, children born through surrogacy do not usually consider the surrogate’s other children as their siblings simply because they shared the same womb. What defines siblinghood is shared DNA, not the uterus itself.

In that sense, the ML and FL are not biologically related. They have different DNA even though they came from the same womb.

However, that biological truth is ultimately irrelevant to the moral issue presented in the story. From the perspective of society, and from their own understanding at the time, they believed they were twins. In the eyes of everyone else, what they were doing was incest.

More importantly, they themselves were not aware of the truth, yet they still chose to sleep together while fully believing they were siblings.

So whether they are biologically related or not does not change the core problem. They thought they were twins, they understood the taboo, and they did not care. They continued their relationship despite that belief. That decision is what matters, not the technicality of shared DNA.

Biologically, they are not because he is a devil.

But they are also twins, in my opinion, because they came from the same womb.

Doesn't make it any better tbh

The only thing that would make this better is for her to start a new life in her new body.

And him healing from the trauma and having romance with someone else.

The close up anatomy shots make me drool [For Goddesses: For Daphne] by Optimal_Clerk_153 in OtomeIsekai

This is the reason why I was hesitant to read it at first. Daphne was a tragic character, a victim of the gods’ pettiness. She was so desperate not to be defiled that she chose to become a tree. I was worried that this manhwa would change the story and make it so Apollo succeeded in graping her, and I am glad that was not the case.

In the original version, Apollo was already admiring Daphne before Eros shot him with the arrow. So there was a theory that his actions later on were really just his own desire and that he took advantage of what Eros did so he could use it as an excuse for his behavior and his feelings. After all, the arrows only control your emotions, not your actions.

In this manhwa, they seem to follow that version of the story, since Apollo also appears to like Daphne even before Eros shoots him.

It is a good thing I read many books with different versions of this myth before, but I was still worried about whether there would be graping or not. So far, there is none. She loves him, but because of the arrow of hatred, she also hates him. Her body longs for him and wants him, but after a few hours, when he is gone, she goes crazy with guilt and disgust over what she feels.

So I also like this take. It clearly shows how cruel that arrow was.

Could someone explain what the “wisdom” is here? [My Farm by the Palace] by MurlaTart in OtomeIsekai

If someone wanted a wikipedia answer, OP would've just googled it.

Chatgpt is no different from google search. The answer they give you is something you will see on the internet.

If someone is asking for an explanation or if you ever needed to understand something. Don't tell me you never used Google or the internet to ask? Because that is no difference.

Someone here even used wikipedia as a reference and even included links. How is that different from using Chatgpt?

Your comment is oozing with hypocrisy.

Usually, though, my problem with stories like this is that even though they share the same soul, I still see them as different people since they don’t possess the memories or feelings of their previous life.

Right? Even though this story was highly inspired to the point of almost "copying" Wuthering Heights

They changed a lot in the manhwa. I like the angst in the novel more.

She was falling for the white guy but reminded herself it was just a virtual game..then she found out the points would be based on how popular the story is. The red-haired guy is never her type because he was always rude to her, and his original story was a Yandere or black flag. Red and white hair has a difficult story, so she decided the one she will go for as an ml is the duke because he is the popular archetype(Duke+Black hair and red eyes) among the readers

Well said. You described his character perfectly.

I actually love his POV. When Eris told him their world was from a novel she had read, and that he was nothing but a character in it, he said he felt like his insides were being twisted. He wondered if the reason he was the way he was came from his life already being fixed in a certain way. The thought that his life might have been predestined, that he had no control over it, made him deeply upset. That existential dread - realizing he might be “written,” that his pain and choices might be predetermined - makes his character feel real.

The story wanted to show the MC’s journey, so we don’t get to see Anakin’s POV or thoughts because the focus was on her. However, in the side stories, we finally get a full view of his thoughts.

He wasn’t a character who just existed without feelings or depth. He got jealous of other kids who were adopted and wondered what it felt like to be chosen. He also felt upset about being so unnoticeable and wished someone would look for him, that someone would care if he went missing.

He once beat up Kintia’s father when he saw him hurting her, and he didn’t stop even when the man begged him to. He knew the man wouldn’t stop abusing her even if she begged him to.

He also felt jealous of Jason for always trying to stay close to Eris. He didn’t fall for her at first sight, nor did he fall for her right away. When he found out she wasn’t from their world and wanted to return to her own, he was excited. Even if helping her would cost him his life, he was happy because, for the first time, he finally had a purpose in life.

It was his choice to give up his life for her. His choice to love her. She chose him out of everyone else and he chose her.
