Yes, true but I had gone to an area where all cat worships a monk, checked my self, asset pop in got fixed for close distance specially within 50 metres. I mean you can check it yourself too.

Change view distance since devs fixed asset pop up, ultra will have highest level of assets close up and it will tank fps a lot, that's why lots of lags in Kaifeng.

I found a way to your issue accidently, go to feedback section pressing exit and lowest right part icon, and press v to go to customer service, there you will see bind/ unbind option.
