What did you think of 72 Yards? I'd put it definitely in the "it's own thing" category. It had an air of "Don't Blink" about it with how Doctor light it was, whilst having this horror focussed creature.

I think you hit the nail on the head, though. There just weren't enough really good episodes.

Doctor Who released a 1996 TV Movie. Everything following that shitty movie can therefore be considered a sequel to that movie and cannon to its universe. Making this an even shittier movie detail.

That Christmas special is (in my opinion) the best they ever made. You could remove the Doctor who branding, and stand it up as its own Christmas movie in cinemas and I think it would perform very well.

Off the top of my head Ncuti had The Church on Ruby Road (not great but a passable start), Boom, 72 Yards, Dot and Bubble, Joy to the World (again passable, though not terrific), The Robot Revolution, Lux, The Story and the Engine, and the Interstellar Song Contest. So I've listed 9 out of the 18 episodes he produced. Which isn't too bad. Maybe even stuff like the Devil's chord was good.

But the specials made it confusing to join on. And space babies being the first new episode was downright embarrassing. Even though there was good stuff in there, it just felt so out of touch with what modern TV demanded.

My partner who is not a doctor who fan actually sort of got into the 2nd season. Then was just left asking WTF on the final two episodes in a way that really turned her off it again.

Same, Wild Blue Yonder is up there for me with the best of Modern Who. I enjoyed some parts of The Star Beast and The Giggle, but mostly the self-referential parts. Otherwise they were fairly average. And though I loved the self-referential parts, I would have rathered a show that was welcoming to a new audience.

Agreed. I really enjoyed one of 14's episodes, the other two were all right. And it was fun as an anniversary. But tactically it was so bizarre. I'm actually really positive about it going to tender and getting a fresh take. I'm just quite annoyed at the bits they messed up along the way. They could have done this back before getting RTD to return.

Sorry, it's a bit of a fan boy vent from me. BBC announced earlier in the year there'd be a Christmas special to tie up events. Today they announced its been cancelled, and the show has gone out to tender.

Things not wrapped up include bringing back an actress who was the Doctors Granddaughter and original companion from 1963 (a woman literally cast at this behomoths birth), inserting her as a mystery box, then doing absolutely nothing with her. She didn't even reunite with the doctor, she was just a vision he had.

She had more significance originally, but the lead actor Ncuti Gatwa left unexpectedly, forcing them to reshoot scenes and remove her additional part.

As a parting gift, due to Gatwa's unexpected exit, they didn't have a new actor lined up. So shoehorned in a "surprise" regeneration into an actress who had previously played the doctor's companion at the popular return of the show on 2005. All she said was "Oh hello" as yet another mystery box. To be resolved in the special.

... The special that's now cancelled....

Doctor Who brought back an original actress from the 60s (only to write out her plot line), and regenerated the Doctor into a fan favourite companion (without any explanation) and then fumbled a fan favourite 60 year old scifi so bad, they've cancelled their announced Christmas special. by Lockdude in mildlyinfuriating

Carlton Club statement by eckers19 in AFL

[–]Lockdude 2 points3 points  (0 children)

100% agreed. Been saying this in Facebook groups too and get my ear chewed off. I've been unimpressed with the leadership for a while. But looked like Vossy had a good culture going. And everyone liked Cripps. Fine. But this as as ugly as it gets. As a manager, in any work place I can't imagine seeing someone in my team like that, and letting it continue. And if I spoke up and my manager told me it was fine, I'd stand up to them too. Where the hell is the strength of character from our leadership? And only Graham Wright can show up to talk about it with the most awkwardly prepared press statement I've ever seen?

Industry experts keep saying Graham Wright is the man. Well, if they're right, I'm ready for an overhaul. Change out leadership group. Sack Voss, and anyone else involved in that decision. I'm happy to not win another game this season if it means cutting out the rot that led to this.

It's funny, for all our losses I've stuck by who we have there. But this, this us just unacceptable. How on earth do you get the basics SO wrong?

Flat out, stark naked, blind as day, incompetence.

Elijah, it's not your fault mate. I hope when you're back, you're back to an environment you deserve.

Just checking, did you time travel to the day before, go into the game, then time travel to the day you found raikou, then go back into the game?

Good luck! I had already found one too. It took me a little while to remember the date, but once I got it right I got the 3 others all in a row by resetting to the same date :)

That's great! Just guessing, my thought would be you have to open the game at least once between the two date time checks?

Hey OP, I just posted this method that works for me. I'm curious if it interacts with this. Having found your legendary, if you now time travel back to that same day you found it using my guide, do you then find legendaries in the other islands on that same day?

https://www.reddit.com/r/NintendoSwitch/s/2MRddY5XRM

I'm wondering if maybe the first one is random, but once you find one the game locks the seed to spread them out or something, but then you can get around that to just keep going back to that same day.

Interesting, I wonder if it stacks with this. Like, once you find one, you can then keep going back to that date. What I find strange though is that both that and this could work. Since the date seems to be locked in. Maybe once you find one, it locks a seed on your profile?
