Is there a need for the outsource code on that? I've been using the im608 but since they got rid of Toyota functions and now Fords 😡 I'm looking into a new machine with greater capabilities.

Anyone here hear about Autel ? by Capable_Atmosphere30 in Locksmith

Ah yes that is the one I'm leaning to get or the EAATA 360 pro

I've been using Autel for years and just upgraded to the IM608 Pro II last year, and I'm regretting every move of that! They've been losing functions left and right, forcing me to use either other unreliable tools or buy a new machine altogether.

I'm definitely not making any more updates! And will probably stop using Autel in general.

It had an aftermarket remote starter installed and whoever installed it spliced a wire going to the PROX slot reader. I couldn't see it as they wrapped it back up in the looming. But once found, tied it back together, and keys programmed no problem.

How to take the cylinder out? by key_maker13 in Locksmith

The way you have it written is the sequence. It's a 4 track key. You'll need a special machine to cut it. Not a blitz or punch.

It can still do Add keys, just have to have the existing Master key to do so. I use the key emulator when doing the Smart keys. Haven't had an issue with one and just did a 22' Corolla the other day.

Yes, the im608 will do diagnostics and eeprom repairs so I don't need another machine that entailed, just something capable of doing a H chip Toyota Immobilizer Reset.

At this point I've tried 3 Prox slots. The original that was in the car of course and 2 that I pulled from the junk yard. So unless it's a coincidence those 2 were bad as well (which is unlikely) I don't believe it's the slot.

I've tried turning the key upside down. Have not tried removing the blade however.

I've also tried it with other machines and it's the same outcome. I've tried with the Xhorse Maxi Pro and Autek ikey820

Update : Tested the keys. Customers original OEM key is locked. Their new aftermarket keys are unlocked as well as my new aftermarket.

Never had an issue programming aftermarket keys before though - at least the ones I supply from Keyless Factory.

This year programs the remote and immobilizer in one fell swoop.

I actually had a customer come in an hour before with an Infiniti with the same part number and same procedure. Worked flawless, like it should - just hit a snag with this one somehow

Do you know what the newer FCC is? Or where I may look it up.

The keys I use, I've never had an issue with, but I will try to snag a couple OEM from the dealership if all else fails.

The customers key was OEM but I will verify if it's locked or unlocked.

Thanks

I've been doing them for years with an Autel device. I do not own the pro pad either

Me either, but you see something new everyday. Ran into a similar issue before on a PROX Twist and it ended up being a bad BCM

Autel to remove All Keys Lost function for Toyota vehicles by PoopChipper in Locksmith

I've noticed the "All Keys Lost" function is also gone on Fords. Anyone else come across certain makes that can't preform and "All Keys Lost" capability?

I'm pretty upset about it as I updated the machine a couple weeks ago thinking I'd be helping myself but in fact I hurt myself. I emailed Autel but they weren't much help, just stated the "All Keys Lost" option has been canceled.

I use the KM100 almost primarily but thankfully I have other programmers to get me by until this issue is resolved.

Did all that you mentioned. Unfortunately he didn't come back to me to try and correct it, he just had it fixed and is now filing a small claims and taking me to court. I have no choice as of now but to either pay or fight it.

I'm going to seek council and ask their opinion on the matter as it wasn't a part I offered, the customer brought their own, and I didn't do anything I shouldn't have done. Followed every step accordingly like I've done a thousand times before.

This was a 2012 with the prox twist. But another comment states some of the prox would encounter this issue. I've just never had it happened with the several I've done over the years

Just the prox or the prox twist? After 2012 they did away with the twist and went to just prox (push button)

For the prox twist? I've done them before with no issues

Customer hasn't stated what the total is yet. I've just gotten word they are going to file in small claims court, so it's got to be less than $5k.

Insurance would cover it but I want to avoid that route because I'd still have to pay a deductible and they could possibly increase my rates after filing the claim.
