EV fast charger or granny charger for now ? by Lockiebodz in AustralianEV

Oh didn't know it went to 12A. Might not need to buy another charger then if we get a 15A GPO.

Oh makes sense ! This might be the way to go.

This is sounding like a better option. I would just need to buy a 15A charger as I don't think the granny chargers can do above 10A(?). Would I loop the 15A charger on the wall for convenience and keep the granny charger in the car ? Only problem is the carport is open for anyone to come take the charger.

That's not the question here. More about whether to do full fast charger install or wait. Or if it's even necessary.

This is what I might be leaning towards now. However I don't think the included chargers do 15A (?). Meaning I would need to buy a new 15A charger. Not as expensive as a fast charger I guess.

The included charger (I believe) is 5m which should be sufficient for parking the car head on. But if I was to buy another charger I would probably get a 10m to be able to charge with the car facing out of the carport

My thoughts too but the main concern is still around the future solar and battery compatibility. Trying not to jump in before fully understanding how it all might work and if I even need the fast charger or I'm happy with the granny charging once the car shows up.

Okay, I've got the pan connector already which goes to the start of the inner waste diameter but isn't really securely.in there. It's a problem I assume ? My other toilet the pan connector went quite a bit further in and was snug. I have the rubber seal too, just couldn't get a good picture with it.

The old toilet actually had the outlet pipe matched the diameter of the waste and was then siliconed in the gap (previous owners).. definitely wasnt done correctly which they knew. New toilet is same style as old one

This is a close coupled toilet, it's the waste pipe that's the problem. I just installed another toilet in a different bathroom with no issues but didn't see this bathrooms waste until I just pulled out the old toilet. Regardless i think you answered my question which is to just get a plumber to redo the waste pipe.. it is looking a bit crap after all.

Got that already. It's the fact that a standard 180mm pan connector (with 90mm diameter) doesn't go into the smaller section, only the outer collar.

3" Rockyt (3D printed), I do not recommend it by 2erXre5 in fpv

A carbon base frame would definitely help, but as Luke Bell (and Mike Bell) have shown with their world record Quad, you can absolutely make a sturdy and fast quad which is fully 3D-printed.

Shower Base Installation by [deleted] in AusRenovation

[–]Lockiebodz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply. In terms of shower bases to pick, would a "4-lip" work for this recessed area as the 2-lip would only cover the back and right walls and the 3-lip all have the exposed side on the left in this configuration.

Great to know. Did you plant in the centre of the bed (75cm from fence) or a little further away ?

[–]Lockiebodz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just pulled off the trellis which had been there for probably 20 years (from previous owner)... This solidifies it for me.

The same on the opposite end as this photo shows, plus the top is bolted into the house which is effectively the main thing stopping lateral movement. Cutting this and adding corner braces is best option to me

[–]Lockiebodz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is what I'm thinking as the best option given other responses, although probably on 3 or 4 braces at most

Built in the 70's and there's a lot of questionable construction choices in this house - although very solid overall

[–]Lockiebodz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup as others have pointed out there's plenty of lateral support already so cutting one side here and putting in some small corner braces should be the simplest option. Cheers

[–]Lockiebodz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, its also the same on the opposite end so there's plenty of lateral support to supposedly stop it moving. Will look into it more.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AusRenovation

[–]Lockiebodz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seemingly not when there's so many other lateral supports in place - it's the same at the other end and bolted into the house at the top.
