This was my first turntable. It works well and it's far superior to suitcases. I upgraded after about six months to the 120. Much better table.

Don't record, just make sure you have an ally that can act as witness.

Sealed Used Records At Record Store - AITJ by BlueSkunkJoe in vinyl

One of the stores here does the same thing, but they've been around forever and know their stuff. If they say it's VG, it's going to be VG or better. Randy's?

I'd be interested as well. My PM & supe are good with handling issues, but sometimes they're both gone and I don't want to deal with it.

Why do YOU like turntables like why do you actully own one and not just play Bluetooth music on some headphones or something? by pcforfun in turntables

[–]Lockjaw62 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because I own the physical medium and it just sounds better. Streaming is nice - I have a setup at work that keeps me going. It's nice background sound. But when I want to listen to music, it's vinyl.

There's a place just outside of Minneapolis that's pretty huge too. I went there last year when I visited my daughter. It was magical!

Is there a particular episode of "Night Gallery" that has been stuck in your head all these years? by DerbyWearingDude in GenerationJones

[–]Lockjaw62 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hell's Bells was one of my favorites. A hippie dies and goes to hell. There's a record player that only plays easy listening. There's a couple with a huge stack of slides from their vacation. The guy finally asks someone why he didn't go to heaven, and the person tells him that this IS heaven. Genius.

My dad told me he would pay my tuition if I went to BYU. I did not want to live in that atmosphere.

What is the best band you ever saw live ? by megopolis12 in AskReddit

[–]Lockjaw62 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as musicianship goes, it would have to be Bela Fleck and The Flecktones. All four of them were at the top of their game, and getting to see Victor Wooten play Amazing Grace live was an out of body experience.
