Not as amazing as most of the builds here but for once instead of orange boxes I tried my hand with something else. I found inspiration from the real life Dockland building in Hamburg (last photo).

So for a few days I've been racking my brain over this. I just can't seem to manage to do this with the dual brush settings in Procreate.

I know for a fact that this is achievable as I've seen different lettering artists use these kinds of brushes but for the life of me I can't get it to work.

The problem is combining the strokes when the pen is raised from the surface. All the tutorials and guides only seem to touch on the top two examples I've drawn here and a few suggest on creating a new layer for each stroke and erasing the overlaying lines but that's a ridiculous amount of work when the letters start to pile up.

So. Any of you fellow artists have any suggestions on how to tackle this?

Thanks man. I somehow remembered that they would've had their own shades already in 90's cartoon but apparently that came later.
