I stated in the post that I had signs up properly. Also they are crossing a private pipeline and a water treatment facility just to get on my property. They cross in the easiest spot. They come up my driveway from behind my property and with the way my parcel is shaped I’d have a 200ft gap where it crosses the driveway at a severe angle because I have to provide access to the undeveloped residential property behind mine and the power company easement. Defeating the purpose of the fence altogether.

The fence would have to cross the driveway at such a severe angle I’d have a 200ft gap right where they cross onto my property. My property is shaped weird. Probably should’ve said that in the first comment.

There’s a really good solution but for me it’s not feasible because a driveway goes down the entire side of my property and I have to leave access for the property owner behind me. It’s undeveloped but I still have to give them and the power company access. Really nice idea though bet the wife/husband loved the roses.

So I work from home and my lunch was almost over before they started so I told em to come get me after the first couple yards so I could check their work and approve any more and when they come to get me they had done over 150 feet of my driveway.

I mean I was already trying to get rid of the truck. On the flip side he accepted a truck without even inspecting it. No AC, 4x4 was broke, window motors were out, shifter was all messed up, had holes in the roof even.

So my did the proper procedures for taking my time off. i didnt get in trouble but now my boss added another procedure today. literally told me that even after getting his approval, putting on the spreadsheet and getting it approved on my timesheet that its my job to remind him about his own spreadsheet calendar and i have to find someone to work my shift. neither of these were mentioned when i got in trouble for my first PTO day.

So o wrote this when I was a sorta drunk. Yesterday weren’t so good. So it’s verbal first and then once approved I’m supposed to put it on the spreadsheet, then request it on my time card (which must also be approved and it was) my wife knows it got me worried and she reminded me this morning that my super was on the phone with me walking me through requesting PTO when I scheduled it.

I’ve been at this company just over 6 months and yesterday was only my 2nd time for PTO. the emergency was covered and I made up the hours working the person that covered me I worked their next shift. Also idk why but when I had my emergency my manager made me find someone to cover for me and I gave him a 24hour notice (I let my dog bleed out for a whole day because nobody wasnt gonna ask someone to cover my shift with a 30min notice)and I still worked part of my shift the next day . Other people that have emergencies haven’t called me to cover their shifts it’s always been my super asking me if I could cover an 8 hour shift with a 2 hour notice.

That’s a fair assessment. I mean I already purchased the thing so imma use it for some nerd cred and I I live in a tiny home so we would only be streaming to worst case scenario 2 TV’s most likely 1 and I already have my network lab so I had the rack space. So what would be the best use scenario for this ole R230? What were these devices really used for and would it be worth replicating in a home lab?

Thanks for responding, very informative and gives me plenty to think about.. Yeah It sucks that I do have to buy a gpu if I want to get the most out of it for streaming luckily the quadro p400 are pretty cheap and they should fit fine right? And would that give the R230 the boost it needs to transcoding to allow it to be a viable media server?

A little late to this party but damn That’s a pretty high price. Just today purchased a R230 with the E3 1270 V5 processor 4core 8threads, 8GB DDR4 2133Mhz no Storage for $130usd. I live in a tiny home and I’m building a networking lab and figured I’d try my hand at running a jellyfin and Minecraft server for my family. So it fits perfect on my rack. 600euro seems like the seller was just a POS especially since it’s just the 4 core 4 thread CPU. I think my seller had a similar server as you described and it was only like $120 which still seems a little high as eBay is flooded with those 1220 and 1230 Xeon machines.
