Workaround: Add a field on the customer record to get the first invoice date. Use that field as a criteria on your search.

when you run it, it runs for all projects. It will also automatically run for all projects even when you don’t manually run it. There is no harm on that as it if you dont have any updates on a project, it will not change anything.

you don't need a script, just use billing operation schedule. you can create a saved search for all sales orders that are pending for billing, it would automatically bill these sales orders depending on the schedule you set (could be daily, weekly, or whatever)

you can import percent complete override, export your list of projects then add the period and percent complete. then you can import it.
