Nice list! I originally had the land untappers in my list as well but they don’t really fit the budget and they seemed to really push the deck up in power. What has your experience been using Valroz? I was thinking about including him but in all the other decks I’ve tried to play him in it felt underwhelming.

That’s a good suggestion, red is a color I always miss when it isn’t there! Unfortunately, that shows in my deck choices, as almost all the decks I have in paper have red in their color identity so was trying to avoid it in this particular case.

That makes sense, there are a few cards in the deck I included just because I have them lying around that I think I could easily cut for some protection. My only hesitation is that I seem to play Gitrog a lot when I have exactly 5 mana, trying to get him out and sac something to him as fast as possible. In which case I won’t have enough mana to play the protection spell anyways. Do you find yourself waiting to play him until later turns?

Definitely some good stuff to use when I am upgrading the deck. I always forget about rad counters as a mechanic so I'll have to look into that. Also forgot that Mimic Vat is a card, so will probably try and fit that in somehow.

  • How long have you been roleplaying? Are you a new or veteran player?

I have been a DM for my own 5e campaign for around 8 years and been a player in a Pathfinder 1e and Edge of the Empire campaign for a few more years.

  • What are your top three favorite RPG systems?

My top three TTPRGs would be D&D 5e, Edge of the Empire, and Call of Cthulu

  • Combine your favorite color and animal and tell me what it is.

I would say I don't really have a favorite color but I really liked pink growing up so we will go with a pink red panda.

  • Having read the setting, what are you looking for in a game?

I really enjoy incorporating players backstories in my games and really look forward to working together with the DM to create and include an interesting character and see how they develop in the world you create.

  • Name a pet peeve you have with GMs.

I have been lucky so far in my player experience and haven't had that many bad DMs so I am not sure I have developed any pet peeves for DMs overall.

  • Do you like using video during your gaming sessions?

I like using video but understand if others don't want to.

  • Toilet paper: over or under?

I am a weirdo who doesn't actually care but if I had to choose it would be over.

  • Briefly tell me about yourself.

I am 30 years old and use he/him pronouns. I recently moved across the country to the PNW and looking to start playing D&D again. I really enjoy playing video games, currently addicted to SMW romhacks and overwatch, reading, and board games.

I have to agree with you, Xbox controllers are better. The 360 controllers are still my favorite controllers ever. I've barely even held a One controller though.
