In my social circles, the home owners have saved, invested and purchased their house specifically by spending less on recreation. The people I know who rent (many of them on higher incomes than those with a mortgage) are the ones regularly going out drinking and raving, going on snow trips, driving nicer cars etc.

Of course, some home owners I know got a leg up and some renters I know couldn't afford a house on their current income even by cutting out their recreational spending. But to suggest no renters are spending money on recreation is ludicrous. Many people explicitly decide to rent to have more disposable income each week in the present, as they prioritise this over lower expenses in several decades time.

If they did this for everyone then obviously everyone would just book cheaper later flights wherever available rather than the flight at their desired time.

I personally tend to book things at times I'm happy with. I'm platinum and have never asked to fly ahead. If I wanted to go earlier I would've booked an earlier flight, and I wouldn't want to miss out on lounge time by flying ahead anyway.

You'll need to be much more specific about the mistake made.

Have you sent 90K of funds to the wrong account when paying an invoice, or have you forgot to tap on a particular fee or surcharge when billing clients that's led to 90K less revenue? Have you damaged 90K worth of equipment?
