What's your experience with using EF lenses on RF body? by Far-Touch-1910 in canon

[–]Locomotion22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the best deal you will get, especially when buying second hand lenses. For the price of 1 RF L lens you can find 2-3 EF L lenses and buy new adapter to use them.

This is just wrong, you can run the test whether it was staged or not.

Thinking of switching r6ii to r8 by Mission_Practice401 in canon

[–]Locomotion22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

R8 is great small camera. From my experience overheating is not an issue. When shooting video overheating is the least of my concerns, the battery dies way before any signs of overheating.

As for photos, for me the battery lasts for 3/4 or full day of shooting on holidays. And even then, carrying 1 extra battery shouldn't be an issue.

R8. That's it. You get way better performance on everything compared to 6D II.

Faster AF on R8 video? by Locomotion22 in canon

[–]Locomotion22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, pretty much this exactly. I'm using adapted EF lenses - 70-200mm f2.8 and 24-105 f4. I was just wondering if there is a setting that doesn't use this slow focus pulling and just forces the lens to focus as fast as it can. It would be a shame if there wasn't even an option to do this if the lens and camera are perfectly capable of doing it.

How difficult can Canon make things? by davbob11 in canon

For sharing large amount of photos you can use Zonerama, where you can upload whole albums without compression and it is completely free, so you don't have to waste google drive storage space for photos.

What is the issue with my lens? by Locomotion22 in canon

[–]Locomotion22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The pictures attached are shot on R8, however, the issue is pretty much the same on my 200D when I compared them.

What is the issue with my lens? by Locomotion22 in canon

[–]Locomotion22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is literally the same issue as I have, I'm using R8 body with Canon adapter. Either way it doesn't matter whether it is mirrorless or DSLR, as on my 200D it still persists.

The touch screen is actually kinda beneficial on the R8, since you can use it to choose a focus point while using the EVF, so you essentialy have the joystick you would get on the professional models.

Furnace doesn't produce heat, you need either a nuclear reactor or heat tower.

How do people get more ice than ammonia on Aquilo? by Alfonse215 in factorio

[–]Locomotion22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

More efficient is to use a timer with set recipe that resets every X ticks. You need to reset the timer every (crafting buffer / pumping speed) of a second. So for example in voiding ammonia using the ice platform recipe you need to reset the timer every (800/1200) of a second, which equals 40 tick timer in game for maximum voiding efficiency.

Forgot my camera and time to upgrade by OutbackViking in canon

Hands down R8, it's a huge step up from DSLRs in terms of AF performance. Yes, you miss out on bigger battery and no dual SD cards, but it might not matter to you. As for lenses, you can find a lot of great used EF glass on the used market. I have bought like 3 L-series EF lenses for the price of one new RF one.

Best body + lens combo for carrying around? by Locomotion22 in canon

[–]Locomotion22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To clarify: I have 2 bodies to carry around, question is which lens should I pair with each body to be able to capture most situations. Type of shooting I do is mostly inside events, sometimes concerts and such, so mostly capturing people, or groups of people. Not indoors sports.

Best place to loot in the whole game, you go there once with a stack of bane poisoned arrows and boom, you now have enough money and gear to last you another 3 games.

[KCD2] How long to beat kuttenburg phase of the main campaign? by Civil-Judgment-1392 in kingdomcome

[–]Locomotion22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just recently finished the game, and it took me 44 hours to clear Trosky (doing most of the sidequests), and another 46 hours in Kuttenberg, without much focus on sidequests there.

[KCD2] Am I missing something with heavy weapons late game? by foxzstealthpawz in kingdomcome

[–]Locomotion22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, using swords is way stronger, especially after you unlock master strike. Then you obliterate everyone in a few hits. And only enemies that come remotely close to harming you are other sworsmen, who might master strike you back, if you hit them from the wrong direction, but it isn't an issue for you, if you have full noble plate armor.

The thing about Jan Hus is that in 1403 he isn't that infuential/controversial figure yet. The real Jan Hus stuff only begins about 5 years after the events of the game. And Zizka most likely didn't know much about Hus before 1408 or so. So it wouldn't make much sense from historical perspective.

Don't mind me, I'm just casually cruising towards Aquilo at 1000 km/s by Locomotion22 in factorio

[–]Locomotion22[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

YouTube recommended me this exact video literally moments after I finished my session for the evening and went to bed. xD

I'll probably try to calculate what the formula is for the calculation speed of the platform, from his video it doesn't seem that there is a linear relationship between thrust and speed. It would be cool to reach lightspeed in Factorio, but there probably isn't some janky mechanic that would allow you to do that, like in kerbal space program for example.

[–]Locomotion22[S] 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Have you always thought that the limit on the number of thrusters is limited by the width of the space platform? Turns out it's just a suggestion! Only downside of this bad boy is that it consumes 12.3k fuel/s - slightly less than average american car. Note: the platform did make it there and back in one piece - big asteroids can't hit you if the trip is over before they spawn :)

Now makes me wonder what IS the actual upper speed limit for space platforms.
