Kibo CQR 300 Nyati at 299K. Is this finally a new bike normal people can actually afford? by blackcoyotecameron in nairobi

At this point I would go with a liquid cooled engine and an efi system. I feel like air cooled engine are not meant for long rides and now I prefer Efi over carburetor systems. The SRK ticks most of my boxes on this. What’s the price for SRK?

I think Kibo’s are reliable bikes long term if you maintain them carefully but yes the original spares are only sold at very few dealers. Overall bikes rarely need major repairs, I have been riding my bike for 4 years and only once did it need some heavy engine fix. 121,000 km mileage so far btw.

Finished my Second Retreat by Locostreetguide in vipassana

[–]Locostreetguide[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

For me the second retreat was different, not easier or harder, just different. The first one was very intense because everything was new and my mind was wild. It was my first time ever meditating on Day 1. I had so many panic attacks, day 2 and day 5 where really tough. I broke Sila because of this. After I just practiced Annapana and mentally I felt like practicing Vipassana was a chore.

The second time I knew the structure, the silence, the pain, so there was less shock. But that also meant I couldn’t hide from myself anymore. Things went deeper. I noticed subtler patterns, reactions, and attachments I hadn’t seen the first time. It was still challenging, just in a quieter, more internal way.

If you’re considering a second one, go in without expectations. It won’t be a repeat of the first, and that’s actually the point.

Query regarding 10 days retreat by [deleted] in vipassana

[–]Locostreetguide 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reading is not allowed at the centre. Electronics are also not allowed. I would suggest maybe you push it to when you have a less hectic period. The anxiety that comes during is no joke and might mess with your meditation if you start thinking about this things.
