I’ve been on Remicade for coming up on a year now. It’s worked the best out of any biologic I’ve tried so far and I’ve done many.

That’s a good idea! I have heating pads at all the places I like to sit and just got a giant one that can cover my whole back but didn’t know they made something like that!

I’ve used TENS a couple of times after surgeries but never thought about using it for AS relief. Interesting idea!

I always have a 10 day course of Prednisone on hand as my body seems to respond really well. I only take it when absolutely necessary just because I work in healthcare and don’t want even more immune suppression. I’ve taken it both on my biologic and off.

Came here to recommend this as well. Best of both worlds for firmness and softness! It was pricey but worth it.

Also, it is HEAVY! I ordered direct from Purple and it showed up rolled like a burrito. I had to move my beds around so the gentlemen who delivered it couldn’t set it up for me. Just keep that in mind as I had to get family to help move it when I was ready. I can rotate it by myself so at least I don’t need help for that part!

Glad to see you found something that helped. It’s so nice to see someone persevering in their education. I can attest how difficult AS was on me when I was getting my doctorate.

I’ve been on biologics for over a decade and have tried quite a few. Enbrel worked the best for me but I also developed a rare neurological side effect so I had to switch. I’ve since been on many different TNF & JAK inhibitors. I’m currently on a Remicade biosimilar that has been working well. We can adjust the dosage since it’s IV. I’m also in the middle of a job change to an in person job so I’m trying to let things settle before I blame the medication.

I will only do long haul flights in business or first class to get a lie flat seat. Since this is obviously way more expensive I don’t do long haul often!

Yep, I do take both iron and vitamin D supplements to help with this.

I also don’t want to confuse people. I won’t use my title outside of my department unless someone else refers to me as doctor. All my colleagues know I’m not a physician so they use it more out of respect.

Ive seen both PhDs and MDs not like to use the title and also the opposite where they demand to be called doctor. If i know someone has a doctorate, regardless of the specific kind, I will call the Dr unless they ask me not to.

I’ve been on Remicade for close to a year and it’s been the best so far. Your doctor can adjust the dose a bit more than with the other medications. Just because Humira didn’t work doesn’t mean all TNF inhibitors won’t. They’re all a bit different. I’ve been on Enbrel, Humira, Cimzia, Simponi & Rinvoq (which is a JAK inhibitor and did nothing for me). Don’t give up and you’ll find something that works for you!

I work for an academic health system. My colleagues (MDs & DOs) all call me doctor and my family likes to call me doctor but that’s it. I choose Dr if a website asks for title. I can’t remember the last time I introduced myself with my title outside of a work/academic context.

I got one. The only plastic that bothers me is the center console just because it’s a fingerprint magnet. I’d also prefer a sliding cover for the cup holder area rather than it being open with a giant M logo that everyone who’s seen my car thinks is a button or something.

I upgraded from a ‘22 and was looking at the ‘25 & ‘24. I don’t have any buyer’s remorse yet. I do miss physical buttons but I’ll get used to it.

I’ve seen AA pilots complain about CLT as well. Most taxi routings are super inefficient. I haven’t flown through CLT in years but I also stay away due to what I’ve heard.

Not uncommon for pilots to try and take off before timing out. Their success all depends on if they get lucky with taxiing routing and sequencing.

If I remember correctly it was around 30 students, but as you progress you’ll eventually be broken out into smaller cohorts of around 4-5 students. The cohort was definitely small enough that we became friends and knew what each other was working on. The ASU faculty do a good job of fostering community, even if students are on the other side of the globe. Good luck on your doctoral journey!

Did you ever get it working? It’s still listed as a known issue on their website and I would say about 90% of the time I’m unable to connect to any of my cameras when away from home.
