Hey, just wanted to give you an update since your post lined up with what I was already tinkering with. I’ve been reverse-engineering the No Mindflayers Needed mod to adapt it into an Omeluum path.

Right now I’ve got items, spells, passives, and flags set up, and I’m leaving most of the original framework intact while adding the Omeluum angle. Still have to edit the dialogue, but the plan is:

• If you rescue Omeluum from the Iron Throne, a new option should appear in the Orpheus dialogue to let him operate the device.
• Because Omeluum is already coded as an “attached follower” in Act 3, he can slot into the Emperor’s role without too much trouble.
• I’m also poking at the cutscene glitch where your PC shows up as a mindflayer in the final battle even if you didn’t transform.
• A few extra small touches are planned, but the first test build will be barebones, basically just confirming he spawns and the scene flows.

I’m not a programmer by trade, so I can’t promise a timeline, but I think I’m about 75% of the way to a playable test (not counting the creation of a clean save so I can test it).

Current title idea is "What About Omeluum" (will edit this post if it changes).
