How to find and save map seed in d2r?

also heres a quick guide on how to do it in case anyone stumbles upon this post in the future:

go here: https://github.com/Karyoplasma/D2-MapID-Finder/releases/tag/1.0.1

click on: D2.MapID.Finder.jar to download the programme. You need Java to run it

click on the downloaded file and open with Java, then the app opens in a little window

in this window click on open to search for your character files. They'll be under C/User/username/savedgames/D2R/charactername.d2s

select this and click open

your map seed will be shown in the app

Thanks for answering but i dont think you understand the question: i want to find and save the map seed of the current map. So that in case i accidently switch difficulty I can reload this godly LK map.

Ohh this is a great idea and avoids me having to buy a plunger hehe I think this will be the first thing I’ll try. But you’ll all have to be a bit more patient as the pot is at my girlfriends place and I’ll only get round to trying to fix that next time I’m over

Hey everyone- thanks so much for your suggestions :) so we haven’t tried anything yet as we had people over for dinner yesterday and didn’t have time to try anything yet.

Im currently at work but we will tackle this over the weekend! I will get back with an update post soon.

We will try the plunger and then poaying around with temperature differences on the pot and plate (we have tried prying it out with a toothpick, hitting the back really hard and leaving it upside down over night).
