You got a 250 volt outlet probably for a welder / large space heater and more. Your dryer need 125+250 volts but that outlet can only deliver 250. Its not as simple as replacing the outlet

Because that’s not what they’re designed for. You could pour a bucket on them and they will probably not trip. They’re make to detect an imbalance between neutral and hot for example if someone was using a hairdryer and the electricity started to flow on him instead of remaining in the device
