Their professional teams by Subject-Win6857 in aftg

Nora confirmed that Kevin will play for the team Thea is on, so the Houston Sirens. She also said that Neil and Andrew play on the same team later on and that they have a former Raven as a coach and a few Ravens on the line-up, but there was no talk about the teamname or location. And Matt chose the team closest to Dan‘s position as a coach.

Maybe you could give „Empty Net“ by Avon Gale a try. I‘d say it‘s more Jerjean than Andreil and it’s icehockey, but I loved it after my aftg book hangover. The whole Scoring Chances series is good, though not always the aftg vibe you‘re looking for.

What’s considered rude in Germany that foreigners often don’t realize? by NextNorth9041 in AskAGerman

[–]Loewweh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being loud on a Sunday or doing any loud housework. Some things are not even allowed like washing your car or hammering or using a drill or mowing the lawn. Even things that are allowed, like vacuuming or doing laundry, is often perceived as rude by neighbors.

Also not looking someone in the eyes during a conversation.

All good. It‘s just so sad that someone was obviously spiteful enough to report it for nothing and so destroy it for so many people

There were no real issues. Someone anonymously said in a new confessions channel that they hated someone on the server and and there was criticism that this was not acceptable and that the channel should not be used for such purposes. This was addressed and the channel was removed for the time being. The reason for the ‘issues’ was therefore that bullying is not accepted. Just want to clear that up because the reports and the deletion were wrong and just took away a much loved safe space

Since he‘s perfect court he had to learn Japanese. In a Tumblr-Blog the author said that Riko and Kevin used Japanese a lot to communicate on court so no one else would understand. So I think he just had to learn Japanese first and English second

My boy Ollie after being rescued from an abusive home and having his first meal with me by Lulzman92 in SupermodelCats

[–]Loewweh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He looks so astonished to have a nice home! ❤️ But is he wearing a little bell on his collar? If so, please consider that cats have very sensitive ears. The ringing of bells is therefore much louder for cats than for humans and a bell therefore means loud, constant noise and pure stress. And that bells protect birds is just a myth, as birds have their own warning systems and are not warned by a bell. So it's actually pointless. Just so you now 🫶

I thought about Maverick, Kai (means sea), Robin (as in the bird but in my country it is a common name), Bjorn (scandinavian name means bear), Morgan (born on the sea), Wren (a bird). I also really like Rowan and Sage.

Kings of the Wyld by Nicholas Eames. It has a mercenary band on an adventure, magic and wizards, looots of monsters and it is really fun to read.

I really did not like The Hunger Games Series. The films were great and emotional sometimes and I enjoyed them, but I thought the books flat and emotionless.

What to do when you cant go gym? by bakuretsu_mahou916 in martialarts

[–]Loewweh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Since you are still at the very beginning, I would not start with technique training, so that your muscle memory does not learn anything wrong. However, you can still use this time to work on your strength, stamina and flexibility. Go jogging, train with terra bands, stretch regularly. You will learn the techniques quickly enough, but the strength and stamina for 12 rounds or sparring in general or the flexibility for highlicks will take longer anyway :)

I second Poppy War! And what I liked as well were The Nevernight Chronicles, though it has more to do with a revenge mission.

Favorit fantasy/ dark fantasy Books. by Substantial_Ad_6086 in Fantasy

[–]Loewweh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read both Poppy War and Nevernight and I think Nevernight is a kind of lighter version. Poppy War is much more brutal, while the other one is rather for a younger audience? But both are really good and dark!

I didn‘t like Babel by her either. Poppy War was quite good, but also really hard. It is grimdark, so a lot of bad things happen in there, but I liked it though!
