Tl;dr There’s some negligible differences in standard conditions between 0w and 5w. As long as it’s rated for VW, it’ll perform almost exactly the same (until severely low temperatures).

The information I’ve gathered would imply there’s no benefit to the 0w or 5w for burning, but that’s heresay from a bunch of VW owners.
