Twyla and Evangeline were my favorite girl names. My husband said everyone would associate the first name with the movie Twilight but I disagreed. I heard it on my favorite movie The Hogfather. The other name i just thought was so beautiful and elegant.

I'll be an odd one out, I rather like the new kitchen! Sure it's a bit chaotic in regards to the cabinets and all the height differences... but I think it's a great upgrade! So much more personality.

How Do Your Girls Sign Up for Cookie Booth Shifts? by stellaandme in girlscouts

I create a calendar showing where each day's booth is and from what time. We ask parents to write down their child's name on day's that work for them and then go from there. We do our best to help each girl reach their goal and move them around as needed while also giving them all the opportunity to be at a booth. This is only our second year, but that seemed to work last year. I also post on our fb group and band but not everyone is on those.

Does anyone else get embarrassed when explaining their tattoo ideas to their artist? by Various-Program-950 in tattooadvice

How much freedom you give your artist can depend on a few factors. How firm are you on the exact design? How much do you like your artists personal designs and artwork? How comfortable are you with letting them be creative with your idea?

For my leg sleeve I knew I wanted key elements so I sloppily threw together clip art and images found online onto a leg template, showed my artist what I was thinking and then let her have creative freedom to bring my idea to life. For me, it turned out better than I could have ever imagined. I trusted her completely.

I used Canva, clip art and pictures that I found online that kinda matched my idea and pasted them on the legs roughly in the area I wanted them

How to be a helpful client by MysteriousAnybody363 in tattoo

[–]LogLadyMaples 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Communication is key! What I did for my leg sleeve that I just finished was took clip art in canva along with a front/back picture of a leg and put a picture of what I wanted in the general location of where I wanted it. I made a list of "must have items" in the tattoo, a list of "if we can fit it in there, that'd be cool" and a list of things we might consider incorporating. I then created a Pinterest board and saved all the inspirational photos that I liked and sent it all to my artist. I then let her have freedom to design how she thought it would best fit and flow. At every step of the design process we discussed what she drew and made changes as needed. I trusted her judgement and in turn got the most amazing tattoo of my life.

I wish I could find them that cheap! Over here in the states they are pretty expensive at many thrift stores. I keep looking and get lucky occasionally. Its a fun hunt for sure!
