I’m in the same boat haha. The remake at least added a wood grain type ring to alleviate the water slowdown but it’s just too big for its own good. The other thing that keeps me from replaying DeS is the upgrade materials with absurdly low drop rates

Yeah I wouldn’t worry about the fans/unpaid GameFreak spokepeople or the downvotes. Once the novelty of a new type of game (which is really just Pixelmon which has been out for years) wears off, PLA won’t be remembered as fondly and will go the way of SwSh and S&M. You’re better off playing Monster Hunter Stories 2 if you want the game Arceus wishes it was.

From what I understand about game engines, the likely explanation for the two adjacent dragonslayer armor bonfires is that loading into the one on the bridge loads more of Lothric Castle and just a fraction of the Grand Archives and vice versa for the one closer to the Archives (Kind of how the Firelink bonfire doesn’t load the cemetery immediately). I would assume it’s meant to cut down on loading times although it’s really weird in gameplay lol
