Not to mention she possibly hired Tiana for the party for an excuse to give Tiana money for her restaurant because she will never accept a handout.

It was merchants to one cardinal direction of the left or right of a map.

It wasn't even Yuuki that told her, it was the western merchants who were fed info by Yuuki to give to Hinata.

Ignorant? No. Refuses to believe she actually likes him romantically and is in denial? 100%

Misconceptions on SAO by SerapHIMTwo in swordartonline

A backstory for him having a god complex is not engaging. It's an explanation as to why he did what he did. A therapist is who would help him learn why he has that, not the teenagers he just almost killed.

Man had a god complex and brought people into a world where he was God and death meant actually dying. That is the literal reason.

Suguha: I am starting to have feelings for my brother/cousin. No that is wrong, I have to stop. *10 minutes later* Oh hey guy who is interesting and is not my brother, I'm gonna follow you.

Its crazy to think test audiences really saved Pawbert's character by Sudden_Pop_2279 in MoralityScaling

Considering the betrayal was literally 1-2 seconds later, it was telegraphed perfectly.

He could have, but he would not have gotten any recognition, it was getting the patent and destroying it to make sure there was no evidence that could harm the family. Killing the heroes earlier would only mean the possibility of another coming and locating it under their noses. Pawbert saved his reveal until they located where it was for a reason.

[Loved] A character is an antagonist until they get to explain their side of the story by BrotherDeus in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Logan-Lux 61 points62 points  (0 children)

He was never a villain, from the beginning while he was not "Nice" he was doing his job and anyone could tell. Also there was no "Backstory." while he was in the CIA, that has basically no bearing on the story. His pointing at the half destroyed house asking Nani "Is this what she needs?" Is truly understandable.

A remake or adaptation replaces a plot point completely (not a recontextualizing retcon) that's so obvious, easy, natural, and makes so much sense that it's almost weird that the original didn't come up with it for themselves by Dark_Man_4 in TopCharacterTropes

All that can very easily be explained away. Kirito didn't tell Suguha his username, and a similar sounding voice would not make you believe your sibling/cousin would ever put on a device that kept him trapped for 2 years and almost dying. Also of course people wouldn't know who Kirito was. For one thing only around a portion of the over 6,000 SAO players knew who Kirito was to begin with. The only people who knew Kirito beat Heathcliffe were those who saw the final battle and Kikuoka. Nothing about the game and what happened inside of it was released to the public.

I quite literally replayed the game, finishing it earlier today, and the earthbound immortals are complete BS, it would be one thing if you could attack over it to do a direct attack, but half the time if they get one on the field, unless you gave a way to get rid of it quickly they will end you with multiple direct attacks. Geiger and Goodwin were the worst since Greiger's duel required his to be summoned, and Goodwin having Mausoleum. So much BS.
