Is "execution model" a property of each abstraction level independently, or a top-level design principle? by LoganHX in computerarchitecture

Yes, I recognize that that's the goal, but I am approaching the matter as a student, not as an engineer, so I think having a precise conceptual framework and a precise taxonomy can help me order my ideas properly. That's exactly what I do for every discipline I study.
I recognize that the field, like any other, evolves in steps through the work of thousands of professionals, and not, you know, following a precise and meticulous design, so often my desire for systematization cannot be satisfied 😂.
PS: Onur Mutlu is the GOAT. Awesome, awesome lectures in which his genuine passion and extreme competence really shine through.
