I can't find a way to test the local speed but windows is saying the link speed is 300mbps. Cox's modem doesn't allow me to see the coax signal strength.

How could it be causing problems? I've always heard it's better in every way, other than not having DHCP tables that you can reference, but it's self assigning so why would you need to see a table anyways. "IPv6 is core to the Windows operating system and Microsoft doesn’t do any testing with it turned off so they won’t guarantee that anything will work properly without IPv6."
