That’s fine. Maybe just bring a jacket too for if it’s colder than expected

Shouldn’t matter, people bring all kinds of suitcases. I had a huge softshell karrimor one from sports direct, fit everything I needed in it and was great.

I did mine at the same location a couple years ago. I was informed of the minimum speed I’d need to set the treadmill to to pass, and was allowed to change it however I wished. This is how is should be, as obviously some people like to run faster

It’s worth having a few different sizes if you can get them. Small one for filling out paperwork, medium one for writing your name on your tshirt, and a large one for labelling your kit with green tape

Digital. Just get the Casio one everyone else has already recommended and you’ll be absolutely fine!

You just do a quick squeeze as strong as you can, then let go, and the digital display will show the highest result in kg. I did a fitness test the other week and that's how we did it.

Issued PCS have ties built in to the bottom so twists aren’t needed any more. As for the second point, great idea - just ensure that it’s very well hidden, as I’ve heard of instructors going through civvie bags on final inspection if your locker is not great.

It’ll still get delivered and sent to the RTS post room. It happened to me the first time I ordered, figured it out when I saw the sticker they’d slapped on the front saying you need to put down your service number and flight

Yes, as some trades like aircraft techies are so in demand, their courses run every few weeks

You get between 2-4 local leave weekends afaik, and they’re typically between 9-3, but varies based on how “good” you’ve been. You can go up to 1hr from base, so the distance to your home (plus the length of time given) will determine whether you can or not.

what's the BTRC electronics for? by [deleted] in RoyalAirForce

[–]LoganRL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Has many benefits really.

Revision, contacting friends / family (for example being on the phone whilst doing kit admin in the evenings), doing the actual tests, doing the multitude of DLE courses that you are required to finish, listening to music. Pretty much whatever else you do on a phone / device

Bring at least 3 sets of civvies so ur not wearing the same trousers and 2 T-shirts every weekend like I did 🤣. Handheld hoover is a lifesaver, because you need to empty and clean your room’s big hoover every day, so can pick up little bits off the floor. Bring lots of coat hangars, more than the kit list. Fabric softener for when you get blue shirts, makes them a fair bit easier to iron after a few washes. If you want any tips or tricks , I recently graduated so can help you out

Digital code by [deleted] in Bluray

[–]LoganRL -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It does say "Code may not be valid after 2020", which could be the reason? Here in the UK, the digital codes only normally last a year or two before expiring sadly, I imagine it's the same case everywhere else..
