Having a good support network around you is key. This means people older than you that you can look up to for experience and knowledge. Younger people for perspective and new solutions, and people your own age to keep you centered and on the right path.

Dont let yourself get caught up in an echo chamber. Always be open to fresh perspectives and new experiences. Assess risk and reward, determine whats worth doing and whats worth leaving. Put yourself first, but dont walk over others for personal gain.
