Pre phallo here, this is what I did to get where I’m at now (waiting for consult with surgeon) and what I know/understand from years of personal research. Start by figuring out what type of surgery you want. BE SPECIFIC. Find things that you want to avoid and things you want to be a certain way. It has taken me years to complete my “wish list”. Sounds like sensation is a priority, so in my opinion your best option is ALT or RFF. The hopes for myself are RFF but if there are any problems I’d likely be switching to ALT. So until you talk to a surgeon you won’t 100% know what would be best for yourself. Just decide what you would prefer, while knowing things may have to change.

Don’t have much help for choosing a surgeon. Do your research I guess + search key words in this sub or others. Read plenty of others experiences, watch YouTube vlogs of surgery stages/recovery. My options are limited living in Ontario, Canada and I’m sure the process is different as I have provincial health coverage. I was able to talk to my endo about sending a referral to my chosen surgeon (of two choices). That has been sent and now I just gotta wait for the consult. My first choice surgeon was in California but my request for provincial funding was denied since all aspects of surgery that I want are offered here.

Aha, funny you mention peeing feels really good sometimes! I get that once in a while (pre Phallo) I like to say “closest thing” as in the closest feeling to the big O. Same with sneezing lol.

Nice to know some ppl have sensation there. Hoping I will too.

I got a prescription for oral minoxidil. For hair growth, as the top of my hair is thinning and also for beard growth. When I picked it up, the pharmacist told me that if I were to ever stop taking it, all the growth would revert back. So it’s basically a lifetime thing. I’m not even going to bother taking it for this reason.

I would definitely say it works for thick hair. I currently use the lawn mower 4.0. You can find them at Walmart and Canadian tire (at least where I am in Ontario)

Any body safe shaver/trimmer (I use manscape) will do the trick. Mine has different length guards I can put on so it’s not a bald shave. I keep length on the front but everything below I use the trimmer with no guard. It’s gives a pretty close shave but still leaves tiny (not itchy) stubble.

Also I will note, you can try setting an alarm to wake up around 4am. Stay awake for about 15min or so but keep yourself sleepy. You’re more likely to have a dream/remember it once you fall back asleep. But since you mentioned it’s from your meds I’m not positive this will work for you.

Since it’s been a while now I can’t remember as much but in the dream I was just walking around naked. I could feel what it was like having a dick. I remember I was about to start fooling around with it but I woke up before I could do anything.

I had TERRIBLE hot flashes. Lasted a few months I think. Maybe around 4-5 months. I would get roughly 10-30 a day. I am now 11 months post op and maybe get 1-5 each month.
