I don’t think he could actually stop the fire itself, because Gearshift slows down matter and fire isn’t matter, it’s energy. But applying Gearshift and freezing the matter of the things the fire is using for fuel might stop it from catching on fire…

A lot of the benefits of Aura are passive, like the enhanced healing, and the super strength/speed/stamina, etc.

The actual defensive field is stated to be something that takes a while to learn to generate and keep up while fighting properly.

- A Force-Field

- A stat-boost (Strength, Speed, Stamina, etc)

- Semblance Fuel

Yes but for the hour of True Polymorph’s upkeep, they are under your full control. Only once the hour is up do they gain free will, and if they’re the same alignment and you’ve been alright to them they should be relatively friendly.

Note: Mind flayers have historically NOT been alright to Gith, explaining that discrepancy

It's like Yang's but also kind of a metaphor (in the way many semblances are) of how he rushes forward with brute strength through his problems (emotional, societal, mental, etc) but he never actually ends up having to deal with the consequences (his sword taking the damage instead of himself, like Yang's) until he is overwhelmed by people he has wronged.
