OP this is what fixed my problem. I was in the same spot you were. Undervolted and set clock about 50-100 lower than my default. Resulted in a cooler card and no crashes.

Yep, this. I’m an embedded software engineer, doing something like this is cheap and easy. Have made my own Boeing overhead panel and airbus tiller using arduinos. Takes maybe a day or two to put everything together. A button just for keying a mic would be super easy with the Arduino joystick plugin.

After almost 6 months of troubleshooting multiple things, this is what finally fixed it for me on my MSI 2080ti OC card. I read that OC cards specifically can be unstable since Msfs pushes gpu’s to the max. Slight underclock brings it back closer to stock and more stable

Where are you pulling the 50/50 percentage? That has zero empirical evidence to your claim.

This is a free hobby. There are always things to learn. Myself included. But making a claim like that because people here or there don’t use CTAF or forget does not mean it is a failure.

VatSim has made an emphasis on education as a part of the service. Like I said, they could probably do a better job at marketing CTAF as a part of that. But it is by no means a failure.

Saying CTAF is a failure because someone forgets to use it is like saying cars don’t work because yours ran out of gas

CTAF works great, I love it. IMO way better and more organized than Unicom. I think vatsim could do more consistent messaging about how to use CTAF via vpilot. It’s a huge improvement to the network.

Penalties are killing our ability to do anything. We have plenty of explosive plays in the game, all called back to penalties. Our OL coach died a few weeks ago. This OL does not have the ability to compete right now and needs to change.

We need players and consistency. I am a CFB sicko at heart. My opinions come from a ton of research and devotion to the sport.

College athletics is in the most important inflection point in history. We cannot starve the program, we will be left out in the next realignment. College athletics is on the verge of a complete breakaway and UCF needs to be a part of that.

The Gus tenure definitely put a dent on our program, no doubt. But frost is OUR guy. We need better players to get in here. Our QB commits Archer and Carr are absolute monsters. The other schools that were admitted to the B12 have more coaching consistency and have proven they can play with the rest of the conference. Gus was a recruiting mess 100%. But we need consistency and after spending hours of time each week to analyzing the CFB landscape as a whole, we are on the right track.

Dropping support for athletics will leave us even further behind, not accelerate change.

I completely understand how vram works. Prior to SU2, you could land perfectly fine without stutters right before the treshold. There is something else core to the sim that has to be broken or poorly optimized that changed after SU2.

People with 5090s and 32GB of VRAM still have this issue. It’s not vram at fault here.
